Omisore obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS); courtesy of CAS-TWAS President's fellowship. Currently. He has over eight years of academic and research experience in pattern recognition and intelligent systems, and flexible surgical robotics, biomedical image and signal processing. He is the principal investigator of several research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shenzhen Natural Science Foundation, Outstanding Youth Innovation Research Fund of SIAT-CAS, and many more as co-investigator. He is a recipient of the 2020 Heidelberg Laureate award for outstanding young scientists in Computer Science and Mathematics, CAS President's International Fellowship Initiative award, 2019 Excellent International Graduate award of UCAS and SIAT-CAS, second position award for the 2019 World Robotics Competition in Beijing, and student travel award for 2017 ICIT in Canada. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles in top-ranked journals. He is a member of IEEE, ACM, and Nigeria Computer Society.
